Mpalos beach (Chania, Crete)
On the north west side of the peninsula opposite to the island of Gramvoussa is the wonderful beach of Balos. The interminable beach is one of the most attractive beaches in Greece. It is very difficult to find words describing the breathtaking beauty of this beach. The shallow bay which is formed in the peninsula of Gramvousa, offers an unbelievable view of all the shades of blue water to its guests. This view adds to the mystique and the beauty of Mpalos beach.
Kavourotripes – Sithonia / Chalkidiki
This is not a single beach. It is a long rocky coastline on the east side of Sithonia, interrupted by small enclaves of well hidden sandy beaches thus creating an astonishing natural environment especially when explored by boat. Kavourotrypes are famous as a remote and not well-known place. It is said to be a hidden paradise.
Myrtos Beach (Kefalonia)
Myrtos Beach is situated in the region of Pylaros, in the north-west of Kefalonia, Greece.
Myrtos is world-famous for the magical colours of the water (from sky-blue to dark blue, green-blue and turquoise) contrasting with the bright white of the smooth marble pebbles from which it is formed.
In the evening when the sun is on the horizon, the water is tinted by magnificent colours, (red, yellow, purple, orange), as the sun disappears[2]. The location of the beach, with steep mountains and tall cliffs behind, is imposing and magical.
Porto Katsiki (Lefkada)
A very famous and photogenic beach, it is at the bottom of an arc of pale cliff that seem to have the clean lines of something designed by an architect rather than a natural wonder. It rises out of the water like a wedge, narrow at the center of the bay where there are only a few stairs to the sand, and then towering upwards at either end. As well as the white lines of the cliffs, the water is bright, bright blue and the cliffs have grassy topped fringes.
It is 35 km away from Lefkada town, near Athani village. The unique view of the white cliff over the beach combined with the surrounding green of the area and the cyan water of the sea make this beach a “must visit” place for tourists. It is consistently rated Top European Beach of the Year.
Paradise (Kos)
Soft white sand and sculpted soft rocks frame the delightful warm waters of Paradise beach in Kos. Despite the crowds that pack it’s sand and the distracting waters sports, the beach is still one of the best in Greece.
Navagio Beach (Zakynthos)
Navagio Beach or the Shipwreck, is an isolated sandy cove on Zakynthos island and one of the most famous beaches in Greece. The area is defined by its sheer limestone cliffs, white sand beaches, and clear blue water, which attract thousands of tourists yearly. The strip of beach is accessed only by boat, from Porto Vromi to the south, and from the Harbor of Saint Nikolas in Volimes to the north-east. More typically, boats arrive from the harbor of Zakynthos, the capital city, with cruises and tours anchoring hourly at Navagio.
Elafoinissos (Chania, Crete)
Elafonissos Beach is located on the southwest of Crete; it is one of the prettiest beaches in Crete.
Egremnoi (Lefkada)
One of the best kept secrets of Greece. Beautiful scenery, crystal clear turquoise water, and soft white coarse sand make this beach one of the best to visit. Its out-of-the-way location on the West coast of Lefkada, and the thousand make-shift concrete steps down (and then up), separate the huge crowds from this beach. Excellent by all measures.
Antipaxos
Antipaxos or Andipaxos is a small island (5 km²) in Greece, about 3 kilometers to the south of Paxos. It has three main beaches: Vrika (white sand), Mesovrika (pebbles) and Voutoumi (pebbles) and it can be reached by 15-minute ride with a sea-taxi from the port of Gaios in Paxos.
Ammolofoi (Kavala)
Ammolofoi beach is the most popular and most beautiful beach of northern Greece. Located arround 1km from N. Peramos, near Kavala (see maps for details), you will find the 3 km sandy beach of Ammolofoi (In Greek Ammolofoi means sand-dunes).
The thin sand combined with the crystal clear and shallow waters of the sea create a magical exotic scenery. This is why thousands of people visit the beach every year, a beach that was awarded with the European Blue Flag since 2006 for its clean waters. On the beach you will find many beach bars which offer sun beds, umbrellas and parking all for free. You may enjoy your drink, your coffee or your snack watching the endless blue of the Aegean archipelago. When weather conditions allow you can see the Island of Thassos and the mountain of Athos in Halkidiki.
Sarakiniko (Milos)
This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Milos and surely the most particular one. It is located along the coastal road east of Adamas, north-east of Milos. It is the most photographed spot of the island
Red Beach (Santorini)
The red beach is one of the most famous and beautiful of the beaches of Santorini. It is located near the village and ancient site of Akrotiri. Because it is smallish, the red beach gets quite busy. A number of people come onto the headland just to admire this beach and never make it down to the hot sand. The reason why it attracts so many people is because of the slabs of red and black volcanic rocks behind it.
Elia beach (Mykonos)
One of the prettiest beaches on Mykonos island. is the largest of the south chain of Mykonos beaches with fine sand. It is characterized as “gay-friendly beach” by the connoisseurs of Mykonos In designated sections nude bathing is allowed.
